Videoclub drama competition 2026

At Videoclub, we believe there is a lot of creative talent among young Maldivians, and Faculty Flix 2026 is our way of giving that talent a platform.

Faculty Flix is a short-film competition for college and university students across the Maldives. We are inviting students to form teams, create their own original short films and showcase their work on Videoclub.

Whether you are interested in acting, directing, writing, filming or editing, this is an opportunity to bring your ideas to life and have your work seen by a wider audience.

MVR 100,000 in Prizes

Teams will compete for a total prize pool of MVR 100,000:

• 1st Prize – MVR 50,000

• 2nd Prize – MVR 35,000

• 3rd Prize – MVR 15,000

Learn From a Renowned Filmmaker

To support our participants, we will also conduct a filmmaking workshop with a Renowned Filmmaker giving participants practical guidance and insights to help them develop their films.
